And while our designs are elegant and sophisticated, they always maintain a sense of livability. Sit down and enjoy yourself; no matter how exquisite your home may be, you shouldn’t feel like you’re in a museum.

Another of our tenets is that the best design comes straight from the heart. In getting to know you, we go beyond the purely logistical ("How do you plan to use the room?") to understand the intangible ("How do you want to feel in your home?"), which greatly enhances the quality of our work.

Approach
It’s your agenda, not ours. So we aim to design and execute a solution that meets your aesthetic, emotional, practical and budgetary needs. This means listening closely to what you have to say, putting your vision ahead of our egos, and forming a true partnership with you. While we apply our expertise to all phases of a project, we also value your input and feedback at all critical junctures.

In addition, we never head into a project with pre-determined style preferences. The style of your design solution depends on your tastes and the particular parameters of your home. Our job is to bring beauty, balance and harmony no matter what the style, whether it’s classical, Bauhaus or Georgian.

How We’re Different
We have two complementary sets of specialties: interior design and decorating (Sally) and interior architectural spatial planning, renovation and detailing (John). This helps us to ensure the interior architectural elements (e.g., profiles of trim, cabinetry details) are coordinated with the decorative elements (e.g., finishes, materials) to create a cohesive final look. We have a strong technical background, including the ability to read and prepare architectural drawings.

Finally, we both spent many years working with commercial clients who carefully scrutinized schedules, budgets and deliverables, which instilled in us a strong sense of accountability and responsiveness that still exists today. Managing million-dollar budgets, meanwhile, allowed us to sharpen our project management skills.This approach underscores the value of our creative talent and technical skills, and gives you access to our extensive resources located worldwide.
