Wilson Kelsey Design to Sponsor Lecture on the topic of
Historic House Museums: Is There a Future?

Salem, MA, February 1, 2007 – Salem, MA-based interior design firm, Wilson Kelsey Design is pleased to announce that the firm will be a corporate sponsor for a lecture and reception featuring Mr. Carl R. Nold, president and CEO of Historic New England. (formerly SPNEA), on Tuesday evening, February 27, 2007, at 7:30 p.m., at the historic Hamilton Hall, 9 Chestnut Street in Salem.

The event is the brainchild of the newly created Bowditch Institute of Salem and the Peabody Essex Museum, Historic Salem, Inc., Essex National Heritage Commission, Hamilton Hall, The House of Seven Gables, The Pickering House and the Stephen Phillips House, as well as Historic New England.

Mr. Nold will speak about making history interesting, relevant, and accessible through historic house museums, through stories of the houses and the residents, and through creating innovative collaborations and educational programs. This topic is especially relevant as several house museums are undergoing major changes and possible privatization. Will there continue to be historic house museums in our future?

A festive dessert reception with music of 18th century America will be a feature of the evening to be held at the historic Hamilton Hall of Salem, MA.

Sally Wilson to Teach Homeowners about
Urban Interior Design

January 1, 2007 - Sally Wilson has again been chosen to lead a course in residential design for the Boston Center for Continuing Education. The four-week class starts Saturday, January 20, ‘07 and will be held at the historic Gamble Mansion at 5 Commonwealth Avenue in Boston.

Homeowners will learn the key principles of interior design and how to translate them into reality in their homes.

Registrations will be accepted on a first-come-first served basis and class size will be limited. Cost for the 4-week course is $101 for members and $112 for non-members. To register, call the BCAE at (617) 267-4430 or register online at www.bcae.org.


Principal, Sally Wilson, to be on Panel for Build Boston 2006

Firm principal, Sally Wilson, will be presenting at this Fall’s Build Boston, the annual convention and tradeshow for design and building professionals. The workshop, called “Consultants for Residential Projects: Friend or Foe?” will be held Wednesday afternoon, November 15, 2006, at 4:00 p.m. A lighting designer, a structural engineer, an interior designer (Wilson) and a landscape architect will each illuminate how their services enhance a building project.

Sally Wilson and John Kelsey to make presentation at Designer Night at Landry & Arcari Oriental Rugs

Salem, MA, October 15, 2006 – Wilson Kelsey Design’s principals, Sally Wilson and John Kelsey, have been invited to showcase their talents at Landry & Arcari’s "Designer Night" event, which will be held Wednesday evening, October 25, 2006, at 6:30 p.m, at the new showroom for Landry & Arcari in Salem, MA.

Their presentation will involve multiple design solutions conceived around two very different rugs, one a bold and sophisticated contemporary rug, and the other a Savonnerie in the classical manner. All those interested in talking with a designer and/or in beautiful rugs are invited to attend.
