Our Maison et Objet 2015 hi-lites
Sally and I have been back from Paris for about 10 days now. We flew back to Boston the day after the first large storm blew thru New England, forcing us to reschedule our flight and stay an extra day in Paris. I know, that was tough to take, right? Especially given what we came back to…
We stayed at the Hotel Bellechasse on the Left Bank. It is just behind the d’Orsay Museum, putting us within walking distance of showrooms, antique dealers and many of the local museums.
Maison is HUGE!!! Eight massive buildings!
The buildings were organized by topic, but in reality, it seemed that product, furniture, accessories old and new were all jumbled together. Fortuneatly, we had done our homework and knew which buildings we needed to go to. I wanted to see several lighting manufacturers…
This is profile I haven’t seen in the US.
Very cool wall sconce…
Sally is starting work on a home on a large horse farm. Maybe the horse barn needs a lighting upgrade…
These were interesting… Modern lighting solutions in a traditional interior perhaps?
Tane had a few interesting products… Pheasant anyone?
Their sconce was to die for!
Koket was a gold mine for both Sally and me!!!
Sally was looking for style. She found it in spades at Koket!
Sideboard anyone?
An armoire perhaps?
Let’s relax for a few moments.
May I help you sit down for dinner?
Pour you a glass of bubbly perhaps?
Was it worth the trip? Absolutely! Next time we will do more pre-planning, anticipating the chaos of the buildings. Wait til you see what we found at Paris Deco Off on the Left Bank Design District!

And you got a bonus day – how nice! Just love the lighting and the armoire is unbelievable. So glad you had a great trip and can’t wait to see more!
it was a fabulous time.
We met wonderful people and made several tremendous contacts.
Food and wine were an added bonus.
There are no bad restaurants in Paris. 🙂
Cheers,
John
