Our client's growing family inspired this WKD design for our client's dream home, a new construction project which included a second full kitchen in the 2000 sq. ft poolhouse to accommodate their love of outdoor entertaining.
SHARE PROJECT:
Bright jewel-toned color on the custom pillows accent the neutral palette of our clients' family room while our choices of iron, wood, leather and family- friendly textiles keep the room practical for everyday living.
Calming blues, soft upholstery, and heirloom antiques invite gracious conversation in our client's elegant formal living room, while the zing of lime green in a traditional damask silk toss pillow adds just the right amount of energy to make this space appropriate for modern family living.
Custom made in England of maple and yew, our clients' dining table, anchored by the fully upholstered host and hostess chairs, gives them a gracious place for the formal entertaining they love to do.
Flowing white window treatments, aqua silks, a custom hand knotted rug and a custom lamp shade add refinement and elegance to this quiet retreat corner in our client's master bedroom.
After designing our clients' new family-friendly kitchen, we accented the casual dining area with this beautiful iron chandelier, to lend gravitas and elegance, while still maintaining the kitchen's informal character.
The light-filled large kitchen window now floods our client's kitchen with sunshine, while also allowing Mom to keep a close eye on her children playing outside in the pool while she cooks.
Custom millwork, custom designed flooring using 3 different marbles, and several tones of neutrals were used to create this classic, calm oasis for our client's master bathroom, but it's the solution of motorized roman shades over the tub they love best.
The sitting area in the pool house was designed with damp bathing suits in mind! It was arranged to seat as many as possible and allows TV viewing as well as playing of games. The sectional and the pillows were made with moisture barrier upholstery techniques and leather ottomans are forgiving, too. Playful pops of color and texture in the pillows add to the sense of fun. Custom wool flat weave rugs add to the casual vibe. The walls are adorned with artwork that reminds us of the Massachusetts coast!
Comfortable, woven furniture and soft white cafe curtains that let the sunshine flow in gave our clients the breezy, casual look they requested for their fully functional pool house.
Colorful custom bedding, pillows and drapery create a pretty oasis for our client's daughter now, while our furniture choices, including a lounge area with a study/work desk, allow her room to grow with her into her teen years.
Shades of lavender combined with the bright pink pop of the whimsical table lamp delighted our client's daughter in her bedroom.
